It’s important to start off your swimming pool season right with the proper chemicals and pool opening process. You can use a traditional chlorine system, the Perma Salt system or the Aqua Smarte system. Check out our video on opening your pool and find the best system for you.
When do I open my pool?
This isn't a clear-cut question. Rather, the time of year when you can open your swimming pool varies depending on where you live. But guess what? Our very own Mike the Pool Guy has a video that will help you find the perfect moment with ideal conditions to open your pool. Watch the video here.
What do I do with my pool during the winter?
It would be nice if we could swim outdoors all year around. That's not always going to be possible. "Winterizing" your pool is called "closing the pool." Doing that will require treating your pool water with winter chemicals, properly removing the pool pump and filter system and adding a winter cover. Watch our video on closing your above ground pool. You'll see that it's not as complicated as it sounds.
