Outdoor spaces are as unique as the people who own them, and frequently, off-the-shelf fireplaces simply don’t fill the bill! Family Leisure has a team of designers and builders that work with families to create the outdoor living space of their dreams. The Stephenson family was looking for a cozy, attractive fireplace to use as the functional centerpiece for their outdoor seating arrangement. Family Leisure partnered with the family to create an 83’’ tall fireplace that is flanked by two storage boxes for firewood. The project totals 105’’ wide. The fireplace is built with grouted cultured stoned and the cedar doors are stained with a driftwood staining color. The fireplace and storage boxes feature an attractive, wide radial opening, and the mantle is made of pure stone. The fireplace runs with a log lighter kit, which can be used to either help to kick start a classic wood-burning fire, or they may put synthetic wood in the grates and have a wood burning look without burning wood- similar to the false fireplaces found inside many homes.
