It is practical, economical and convenient, with little or no maintenance. Slings are easy to clean and dry rapidly.  Sling furniture is particularly well-suited for exposed areas and poolside seating, which is why you will often see sling furniture in commercial settings. A variation on the sling patio chair is the padded sling, which offers the comfort of cushion seating with the low maintenance of a sling product. Two slings are sewn together and are filled with Dacron, allowing them to drain easily and dry quickly.
