Description: An innovative winter cover system for an above ground swimming pool that automatically drains water from the top and out through the return fitting.
Function: Save time, elbow grease, the environment and money with the EZ Drain Winter Pool Cover from Family Leisure. There's no air pillow to hassle with, along with no cover pump. No longer will you waste 1/3 of the pool water and chemicals at the end of the swimming pool season with this cover; in order to work properly you must maintain your water level throughout the winter, so there's no need to drain the pool or add 1/3 of your pool water at the start of the summer either. Rain water drains through the pool cover automatically down a tube in the middle that connects to your return fitting. This water is safely released into your yard through the filter hose that is connected to your return (you will have to remove the end of the hose connected to the filter), eliminating the hassles of maintaining a winter pool cover.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- SKIMMERS: The EZ Drain Cover will not work on pools with non-standard returns such as Muskin, Lomart and Doughboy returns, along with pools with the Aqualuminator lighting system. Pools with widemouth skimmers can use the EZ Drain System, but owners will have to purchase the Widemouth Skimmer Ice Guard Plate that DOES NOT come standard with the system (view the Widemouth Ice Guard Plate here and add it to your cart). If your swimming pool has a standard size skimmer, the skimmer will have to be covered by the standard skimmer plate (which is included with any EZ Drain Cover; view the Standard Skimmer Ice Guard Plate here, if you have more than one standard skimmer to cover). If you own a dual return swimming pool, the bottom return will have to be covered or plugged.
- RETURN FITTINGS: EZ Drain will only work if your return fitting is at least 24" above the ground.
- WATER HEIGHT: You must maintain the normal water height in your swimming pool for the EZ Drain Cover to work properly.
- THRU WALL RETURN: Be sure to check to see if the thru wall return fitting is compatible with the EZ Drain System. How do you check? Remove the locking ring, ball and ball seat of your return fitting. Check the fitting for 1-1/2" female threads; if you have this size, you can use the EZ Drain System.
Skimmer Ice Guard Plate Instructions (Included):
- Remove only the screws from the skimmer that match the holes on the winter plate.
- Place and secure the gasket (white foam) and the winter plate over the skimmer face plate with the winter plate screws (included). DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE SCREWS!
- Detach, remove and store away all hoses and internal skimmer components such as the weir, basket, etc.
- Apply a piece of duct tape (not included) to cover the hole in the top of the skimmer cover.
