Umbrella Manufacturers Are Offering More Options Than Ever For Backyard Shade
Shade is a big business and the varieties and options open to you are astounding. The ubiquitous and iconic Patio Umbrella is, of course, still the favorite stand-by. But even those traditional umbrellas are now available in oversized versions (usual octagonal umbrellas are around 9’ in diameter; they are also available in 11' and 13’ models).
These umbrellas are also available in more organic, “free-form” shapes if you are looking to add a more modern, sophisticated atmosphere to your outdoor space. Don’t want an umbrella stuck in your table? Check out the cantilevered or off-set style of umbrella, also available in a wide range of sizes and prices (the 9' Cantilevered Market Umbrella by Leisure Select is pictured right).
Go a step further and consider a Garden Pavilion (the 12' x 12' Garden Pavilion by Treasure Garden is pictured left), which is basically an umbrella fitted to a room shaped frame.
