Some quick tips on caring for your patio furniture cushions & fabric

Caring for your patio furniture can be a challenge. Maybe the advice you have received is faulty; or maybe you have no idea on where to start regarding cushion maintenance. Follow these tips to help with cushions & fabric:

PVC (Polyester Vinyl Coated) Slings; PVC/Acrylic or Olefin Blends: Clean routinely with a mild soap and water. If an area of the fabric becomes stained, add one cup of chlorine bleach to 10 cups of water, and, using a soft brush if necessary, attend to the stain. Always rinse furniture thoroughly.

100% Acrylic and Acrylic/Polyester Blend Fabrics – Use a mild soap and warm water to spot clean any affected areas. Use a soft brush. If the fabric is 100% acrylic, you may use ½ c. chlorine bleach with soap solution to treat mildew or more resistant stains. Always rinse thoroughly.

NOTE – Some suntan and sunscreen lotions and sprays may permanently discolor or damage fabrics. It is important to clean your products as soon as possible after exposure to any lotions or sprays.

TIP – Placing a cushion on its side will allow water to drain more quickly and consequently the cushion will dry faster.
