Amazing Outdoor Kitchen, Grill Island & Fire Pit Installation with Crane

Wow, this amazing Outdoor Kitchen, Grill Island & Fire Pit installation was a great experience! The steep grade of the lawn surrounding the home made it virtually impossible to forklift this fire pit and grill island onto the deck of this home. Actually, there are two decks, an upper level deck and a lower level deck, both overlooking Geist Reservoir in Indianapolis.

So how did we do it? Check out the pictures of the massive crane... Yes we used a crane to lift the grill island and fire pit over the home, lifting each piece nearly 300 feet in the air! 

But it was an easy experience for everyone involved, from the homeowners to the installation crew who completed the job. I did feel bad for the homeowner's high-school-aged kids who had to wake up a little early on a summer morning, but they have the rest of the summer to sleep in!

One challenge was ensuring the crane didn't damage the home and the home's deck, but this crew is seasoned and professional - there were no worries from them! One crew member even mentioned they recently completed an installation in Ohio that used a larger crane, with a larger grill island, dropped into an even smaller space. Can you believe they have larger cranes out there in the world?
